How do I redeem an online coupon?
There are two different kinds of online coupons - linked coupons and coupon codes. A linked coupon is a coupon that doesn't require you to enter a code in order to get the discount. If an offer doesn't have a coupon code, you will see "no coupon code necessary" where the coupon code would normally be. To redeem the offer, simply click on "redeem coupon." The discount will be applied automatically. Coupon codes are handled differently by different merchants. In most cases, you'll be asked to enter the coupon code (or discount code, or promotion code or gift certificate) near the end of the checkout process. Once you enter the coupon code, you'll be taken to a review page that shows your new subtotal with the discount.
I tried to use a coupon and it didn't work. Why not?
This usually means that the coupon expired. If the expiration date isn't listed, the coupon might have expired since the last time we verified the discount. It is also possible the merchant ended the promotion early or changed the terms of the coupon. Other common problems with coupons are that many of them can't be used more than once, and almost all of them require a minimum purchase, excluding shipping and sales tax. Some coupons are only valid if you're a first-time customer and you can usually only use one coupon code per order. We try to post all of the coupon restrictions, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the offers listed on monkeybargains.com. We test each coupon prior to posting it on the site, but we do not have the capacity to verify every coupon every day.
What should I do if a coupon doesn't work?
We try to keep all of the coupons on monkeybargains.com up to date, but every once in a while something slips by. If a coupon you found on MonkeyBargains isn't working, please let us know by emailing contact@monkeybargains.com. We will contact the merchant to find out what the problem is. If the coupon is in fact expired, we will let you know and remove it from our site immediately. We hope you don't run into this problem on our site very often, but when you do, keep checking back with us. We update the site daily and are constantly posting new discounts from each merchant.
Where do you get all of these coupons?
Most of the coupons are provided to us by merchants, but we also post coupons that we happen to find online. We scour the Internet for new offers every day, so that you don't have to. Just check on MonkeyBargains whenever you're looking for a discount from a particular merchant. We've probably got what you're looking for!
What is the Deal Alert?
The Deal Alert is MonkeyBargains' free e-mail newsletter. Once a week, we send our subscribers an email with the best offer we've found that week. Register now and you'll never miss a great deal again. It's free!
Is it safe to order online?
Yes! In the real world, you often give your credit card to cashiers and waiters who could easily write down your account information. Using your credit card online is no more dangerous. In fact, your credit card information is usually safer online than it is in the hands of some waiter. That's because most websites (including all of the websites listed on MonkeyBargains) encrypt your transaction so if outside parties intercept it, they won't be able to read it. To make sure your transaction is secure, just look for an "s" to the right of the "http" in the merchant's URL. The "s" stands for secure. You'll also be pleased to know that in the unlikely event of your credit card information being stolen, you're only liable for up to $50. The Fair Credit Billing Act only allows credit card companies to hold you responsible only for up to $50 in fraudulent charges as long as you notify them in writing within 60 days of the date the bill was mailed. Plus, Visa and MasterCard waive liability no matter how much time has elapsed. Because of the tough penalties for Internet fraud and the measures taken to prevent it, it actually might be safer to buy online than it is in the real world.
How much is shipping?
The shipping charges vary by merchant. You may be charged a shipping fee based on the weight of your order, the total amount of your order, or even the items that you ordered. Shipping charges are always displayed during checkout. If you are interested in finding out what the shipping fees would be for a particular order, please contact the merchant's customer support directly.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax also varies by merchant. Most merchants only charge sales tax if you reside in the state their headquarters is located in. If you are going to be charged sales tax by a merchant, it will always be displayed during checkout. If you would like more information on the sales tax policy of a particular merchant, please contact their customer support directly.
What should I do if I need information on a certain product or merchant?
MonkeyBargains is just an affiliate of the merchants listed on our site, so we will not be able to answer any questions about the status of your order or the availability of a certain product. If you have specific questions about a product or merchant, please contact their customer support directly. If you cannot find that information, we will be happy to provide it to you if you email contact@monkeybargains.com.
